Following its sold-out Fantasy World: Anime x Classical concert in 2022, The klpac String Orchestra under the baton of Andrea Sim is set to present “Animated Adventures”.
Hop onto this breath-taking musical adventure that will bring you from the Scandinavian Kingdom of Arendelle to the Viking village of Berk, from Medieval Scotland to the Polynesian island of Motunui in this special selection of animation movie music from the New Millennium.
The vastly different settings of each movie has given us some of the most diverse and culturally rich soundtracks such as the music from the Scottish Highlands in “Brave”, the traditional music of Colombia fused with Spanish rock in “Encanto” and the South Pacific Polynesian vocals and percussion in “Moana”.
An adventure from start to end, it is the perfect musical outing for music lovers of all ages!
A community orchestra made possible by a group of volunteers, consider purchasing the RM100 Patron of the Arts tickets to aid the maintenance and upkeep of instruments and equipment.

ABOUT The klpac String Orchestra
With more and more players picking up an instrument from a young age, The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac) decided it was time to reach out to these young musicians.
The idea of having a String Ensemble was planted back in 2010 and it was swiftly cemented. The klpac String Ensemble was formed in September the same year with its youngest member then aged only nine. The klpac String Ensemble debuted with “Fantastikal Strings” in April 2011 under the baton of Dr. Takahisa Ota.
Over the years, its members grew and the ensemble was officially renamed The klpac String Orchestra in 2017. Under the leadership of Norman Ong, The klpac String Orchestra toured to Penang in 2018 as well as to Bangkok, Thailand, to take part in and perform at the Southeast Asia Music Education Exchange (SEAMEX) 2018.
The klpac String Orchestra welcomed on board a new Music Director and Resident Conductor, Andrea Sim, in 2021. She debuted with the sold out “Reminiscing with the klpac String Orchestra” in June / July 2022.
