Against his father’s wishes, Daniel packs his bags and heads to his kampung to do research about a mysterious case that happened 20 years ago. He is taken in by his Uncle Dai and Mak Lei. Uncle Dai tries to convince Daniel not to write about the case but Daniel is persistent and heads to the abandoned house that is said to be haunted. There, he meets Mariam. Slowly, he learns about the dark tragedy surrounding this case and fights his own family to protect someone he loves.
