Short + Sweet Malaysia Festival 2023: Dance

The world’s biggest little festival is back – SHORT+SWEET Malaysia enters its 16th season this year.

As a key driver for the development of new Malaysian works and talent, SHORT+SWEET Malaysia has premiered over 1,000 new works and showcased an astonishing 5,575 talents since 2008.

As one of Malaysia’s longest-running multi-genre festivals, SHORT+SWEET Malaysia 2023 is set to premiere more than 90 new works in six different genres – Film, Stand-Up Comedy, Song, Musical, Theatre and Dance by a wide range of Malaysian artistes and arts groups.

Not only will audiences be the first to view the creation (only new works are accepted), each work must be under 5 minutes. You will get to feast on a sumptuous buffet of 5-minute or less works and, best yet, vote for your favourite! Each team competes to win top honours and prizes including Creative Excellence Award.
